Ski Butternut Ski Area

Described by SKI Magazine as “a true family mountain” and a “family gem,” Ski Butternut prides itself in making skiing and riding fun and affordable. Ski Butternut boasts big mountain skiing with 1,000 vertical feet and 22 trails covered with snow by a powerful snowmaking system that covers 100% of the mountain. It also features 10 chairlifts (including three quad-chairlifts), a professional PSIA-member ski school, a large rental shop, and some of the regions best children’s programs. It’s full-service on-mountain Ski & Snowboard shop even has an industry leading demo center, so you can try any new equipment before you buy. Ski Butternut is so good and so close to Boston, there’s no reason to go anywhere else!

Special Instructions
Present your Powder Passport at the MAIN OFFICE in front of the Ski Patrol Building to receive your free lift ticket.

Directions:
Take I-90 west to exit 2 in Lee, MA. Take Route 102 west into Stockbridge. At the Red Lion Inn make a left turn onto Route 7 south; take Route 7 south toward Great Barrington and at the second traffic light make a left turn onto Route 23 east. Follow Route 23 approximately 1 mile to the entrance sign of Ski Butternut.
